July 17 | Project Create Wellness Event: Family Song Bath
Looking for a peaceful way to slow down and reconnect as a family? Project Create is inviting DC residents to a special Family Wellness Night featuring the Threshold Singers of Washington, DC, a local chapter of the international Threshold Choir.
Known for their gentle, a cappella singing, the Threshold Singers offer comfort, connection, and moments of grace during meaningful life transitions. Their volunteers provide bedside singing for individuals in hospice and other care settings, while also leading community song experiences designed to foster peace, reflection, and restoration. Their music is non-religious and offered as a heartfelt gift to those who listen.
During this special Family Wellness Night, participants will learn about the Threshold Singers' mission, enjoy several of their songs, and be invited to join in singing simple harmonies. No musical experience is necessary—just bring a willingness to listen, breathe, and receive.
The evening concludes with a restorative group song bath. Participants will relax in zero-gravity chairs arranged in a circle while the singers surround them with soothing harmonies. Those who wish may also volunteer to recline in the center of the circle for an even more immersive experience.
Because space is limited, organizers ask families to register only if they are able to attend. If plans change, participants are encouraged to cancel their registration or notify Project Create so another family can enjoy the opportunity. This helps keep these free wellness programs accessible to as many DC families as possible.
