July 16 | Movie Night at Great Lawn at Yards Park
The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) is bringing the magic of outdoor movies to the waterfront with its new Destination Movie Night Series at Yards Park's Great Lawn, and this week's feature is Mufasa.
Families are invited to 355 Water Street SE on Thursday, July 16, for an evening of free entertainment, beginning with themed activities at 6:00 p.m. Before the movie starts, children can enjoy lion face painting inspired by the beloved Disney film. The movie will begin at 7:00 p.m. on the Great Lawn, creating the perfect setting for a relaxing summer evening under the stars.
The Destination Movie Night Series runs every Thursday through August 20 and combines blockbuster family films with interactive activities that bring each movie to life. Throughout the summer, attendees can look forward to experiences like Bad Guys 2 mask making, a Barbie-themed pink party, karaoke inspired by Michael, and more.
