Antwan Gales, 45, Arrested for Ridge Road SE Shooting

The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of a suspect who shot at a man while he was sleeping in the hallway of an apartment building in Southeast. 

On Tuesday, October 10, 2025, at approximately 3:19 a.m., the victim was sleeping in the hallway of an apartment building in the 400 block of Ridge Road, Southeast. The suspect exited his apartment, produced a gun and demanded the victim to leave the apartment building. As the victim fled, the suspect shot at the victim multiple times. The victim was not injured. The suspect was not located by responding officers.

The detectives’ investigation identified 45-year-old Antwan Gales, of Southeast, D.C. as the suspect. On Thursday, August 13, 2026, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant,Antwan Gales was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
