About the BOSSTANK Program
The BOSSTANK Pilot Program is a one-year intensive initiative designed to help Ward 7 and Ward 8 businesses strengthen their operations and prepare for future growth. Selected businesses will receive hands-on support from Business Advisory and Service Experts (BASE) in areas such as accounting, marketing, business development, legal support, administrative systems, and information technology.
Participants must commit to weekly in-person workdays from 9 AM to 5 PM at a Ward 7 or Ward 8 hub location as part of the program.
At the end of the cohort, participating businesses will compete in the BOSSTANK Pitch Competition and gain access to the National Bankers Association Foundationβs network of minority depository institutions and community banks, creating opportunities for financing, partnerships, and business expansion. DCCDC is also seeking experienced consultants to serve as BASE contractors, providing professional services and back-office support to participating businesses. Contractors should have at least three years of consulting experience and be able to commit 10β20 hours per week, including periodic in-office work at the Ward 7 or Ward 8 hub locations. Preference will be given to contractors located in Wards 7 and 8.
The BOSSTANK program is launching in partnership with the National Bankers Association Foundation, with support from the Health Equity Fund of the Greater Washington Community Foundation.
