Sept 30 | Ward 8 Housing Listening Session
The DC Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) is inviting Ward 8 residents to take part in an upcoming Housing Listening Session on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 6:00 PM.
The session will be held in DHCD’s Multi-Purpose Room, 1909 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SE, Washington, DC, with both in-person and virtual participation options available.
Purpose of the Session
This community forum will give residents the opportunity to:
Hear updates from DHCD on the District’s affordable housing progress.
Learn more about the programs and resources available to support housing needs across DC.
Share housing concerns and priorities directly with DHCD leadership.
Why It Matters
Affordable housing remains one of the most pressing issues facing DC residents. Listening sessions like this one are designed to ensure that the voices of Ward 8 community members are heard and factored into ongoing policy, planning, and resource decisions.
