Secure Package Pickup: Amazon Lockers Available at MPD Stations

Package theft continues to be a challenge in neighborhoods on both sides of the Anacostia River and across Washington, DC, but residents have a secure alternative for receiving Amazon deliveries.

In partnership with Amazon, the Metropolitan Police Department launched a first-of-its-kind initiative that made Washington, DC, the first city in the nation to install community Amazon Lockers outside police stations. The program began in 2022 and has since expanded to locations throughout the District.

When placing an Amazon order, residents can select a participating Amazon Locker as their delivery destination and retrieve packages at their convenience.

Current Amazon Locker locations include:

• First District Station — 101 M Street SW
• Second District Station — 3320 Idaho Avenue NW
• Third District Station — 1620 V Street NW
• Fourth District Station — 6001 Georgia Avenue NW
• Fifth District Station — 1805 Bladensburg Road NE
• Sixth District Station — 5002 Hayes Street NE
• Sixth District Substation — 2701 Pennsylvania Avenue SE
• Seventh District Station — 2455 Alabama Avenue SE

With locations across the city—including several east of the Anacostia River—the lockers provide a convenient and secure option for residents looking to reduce the risk of package theft and safely receive their deliveries.
