Roadwork Alert: Pavement Restoration Underway in Wards 7 and 8

The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) has announced a series of pavement restoration projects that will take place throughout Wards 7 and 8 from now through Friday, July 10, 2026, as part of the agency's ongoing effort to improve and preserve local roadways.

  • East Capitol Street between the Anacostia River Bridge and B Street SE

  • Lee Street NE between 40th Street NE and Lane Place NE

  • Lee Street NE between Lee Street NE and Lane Street NE

  • N Street SE between 29th Street SE and 30th Street SE

Ward 8 Project Locations

  • 4th Street SE between Woodcrest Drive SE and Woodcrest Drive SE

  • Atlantic Street SE between 3rd Street SE and 4th Street SE

  • Mississippi Avenue SE between Cook Drive SE and 19th Street SE

  • Stanton Road SE between Tobias Road SE and Shippen Lane SE
