Maurice Fox, 46 Arrested for Homicide of Carol Ann Williams, 65

The Metropolitan Police Department announces an arrest in a homicide that occurred in Southeast.   

On Friday, October 9, 2026, at approximately 9:45 p.m., Seventh District officers responded to the 1900 block of Frederick Douglass Court, Southeast, for the report of an unconscious person. Upon arrival officers located an adult female victim, unconscious and not breathing, suffering from a gunshot wound. DC Fire and EMS responded to the scene and despite all lifesaving efforts the victim was pronounced dead on the scene. 

The decedent has been identified as 65-year-old Carol Ann Williams, of Southeast, D.C.

On Wednesday, November 4, 2026, pursuant to a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant, 46-year-old Maurice Fox of Fort Washington, MD was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder While Armed-Premeditated.
