August 22 - 23 | Parking Garage Access During Freedom 250 Grand Prix

Monday, August 17, 2026

On Saturday, August 22, 2026, and Sunday, August 23, 2026, the Freedom 250 Grand Prix of Washington, DC will take place in the District of Columbia. In preparation for this event, there will be traffic closures and vehicle restrictions implemented to support security operations in the days leading up to the race. Unless there is a specific public safety need that requires limiting movement to a parking garage or loading dock within these restricted areas, the Metropolitan Police Department will make every effort to accommodate access to these garages or loading docks.

Below is a list of specific locations and general areas that residents and employees will need to use to reach their destinations. If a motorist has a legitimate reason to enter any of these streets, such as residence, parking garage access, or deliveries, their vehicle will be permitted to do so. When a motorist approaches a police officer at a “traffic control point,” a brief explanation of their destination will suffice.
