The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is temporarily closing single lanes on the following roadways for bridge inspections:

Southeast Freeway (I-695) over 4th Street SW, alternating right and left lane closures of Northbound and Southbound Southeast Freeway (I-695) over 4th Street SW on Monday, December 29th, 2025, during the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting

Northbound Kenilworth Avenue Freeway under the Parkside Pedestrian Bridge, right lane closure of Northbound Kenilworth Avenue Freeway under the Parkside Pedestrian Bridge on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

12th Street Expressway under Jefferson Drive, alternating right and left lane closures of 12th Street Expressway under Jefferson Drive on Friday, January 9, 2026, during the hours of 10:00AM to 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

12th Street Expressway under Jefferson Drive, alternating right and left lane closures of 12th Street Expressway under Jefferson Drive on Monday, January 12, 2026, through Friday, January 16, 2026, during the hours of 10:00AM to 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

Northbound Kenilworth Avenue Freeway under the Parkside Pedestrian Bridge, right lane closure of Northbound Kenilworth Avenue Freeway under the Parkside Pedestrian Bridge on Thursday, January 15, 2026, during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, allow for additional travel time, and consider alternative routes.

Traffic controls, including signage, will be in place to guide motorists safely through the work zones. All roadway users are advised to stay alert and be observant of signage and work zones while traveling in this area.
