The Ward 7 Juneteenth Parade & Opal’s Walk for Freedom is looking for artists, builders, and creatives to help bring this year’s celebration to life. From float design and visual art to performances and behind-the-scenes support, there are plenty of ways to get involved.

Juneteenth commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and is a time for reflection, celebration, and community. In Ward 7, that spirit comes alive through a vibrant, inclusive parade that showcases the culture, history, and pride of the neighborhood.
