Support Local. Shop Ward 8. Support Anacostia Organics!

We talk a lot about wanting more retail, more investment, and more thriving businesses East of the River. But here's the thing: We have to support the businesses that are already here!

Anacostia Organics Dispensary is one of our local small businesses, and like so many others in Ward 8, it needs community support to thrive.

Don't wait until a business is struggling or closing to show your support. Support it NOW!

And did you know? DC residents 21 and older can self-certify for medical cannabis without a doctor's visit, and registration is currently free! Stop by Anacostia Organics and ask the staff how to get started with the registration process.

Sometimes supporting local means going a little out of your way, making an extra stop, or choosing a Ward 8 business over a more convenient option. That extra effort matters.

Every dollar spent with a local business helps strengthen our neighborhood's economy and sends a message that Ward 8 deserves a thriving retail community.

We can't keep asking for more businesses East of the River if we're not making an intentional effort to support the ones we already have.

Let's make supporting Ward 7 and Ward 8 businesses a habit, not just something we talk about when they're at risk of closing.

Shop local. Support small businesses. Invest in East of the River. And do it TODAY, not later!
