Spring DPR Registration Opens March 3 and 4

Spring is around the corner, and it’s time to get ready for DPR registration.

Muriel Bowser and the DC Department of Parks and Recreation are reminding families that registration for 2026 spring programs opens next week.

🗓 Aquatics programs: Open at noon on Tuesday, March 3
🗓 All other programs: Open at noon on Wednesday, March 4

Programs are first-come, first-served, and DPR will use a virtual waiting room on both registration days to manage demand. If you haven’t already, create your DPR account in advance at dpr.dc.gov/DPRaccount to save time.

This spring’s lineup includes:

  • Lifeguard Training for certification and job readiness

  • Girls Who Code STEM programming

  • Sweat & Sound Thursdays at Kennedy Recreation Center

  • That’s My DJ at Brentwood Recreation Center

  • Art Escape at Woody Ward Recreation Center

  • Spring Break Camps aligned with DCPS schedules

  • Tennis, pickleball, kayaking, dance, youth athletics, and more

  • Wellness clinics, special events, and DC Senior Games registration for older adults

Reduced rates are available for qualifying DC residents but must be approved before registration.

You can browse the full list of programs and details at DPRprograms.com.

And don’t forget: there’s still time to sign up for the Herstory 5K at Freedom Plaza on Saturday, March 7 — a fun, all-ages race celebrating Women’s History Month.

If you’ve got kids (or you’re looking for something new for yourself), set that noon reminder now. Spots fill quickly.
