As temperatures begin to drop, Martha’s Table is getting ready to help thousands of DC residents prepare for the colder months.

The organization’s Annual Winter Coat Giveaway returns on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 2375 Elvans Road SE.

This year, Martha’s Table is bringing back its signature one-day giveaway with an ambitious goal: distributing 3,000 coats in just three hours.

Led by the clothing team from Martha’s Outfitters, the free event will give neighbors an opportunity to browse coats and winter accessories for the entire family. All items will be available at no cost.

Beyond helping families prepare for chilly weather, the Winter Coat Giveaway is designed as a community gathering and celebration, bringing neighbors together while making essential cold-weather clothing more accessible.
