[PR] Suspect Wanted Regarding an Armed Carjacking (Gun) Offense: Area of 14th and E St, SE

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District seek the public’s assistance in locating a suspect in reference to an Armed Carjacking (Gun) offense that occurred on Friday, July 5, 2019, in the area of 14th and E Streets, Southeast 

At approximately 4:20 pm, the suspect and the victim were in the victim’s vehicle at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s vehicle and property. The victim complied and the suspect fled in the victim’s vehicle. 

The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in locating 18 year-old Kayvaughn Brown, of Southeast, DC. Brown is currently wanted on DC Superior Court arrest warrant for Armed Carjacking in reference to this offense. Brown can be seen in the photo below:

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Kayvaughn Brown or has knowledge of this offense, should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
