Editor’s Note: I just learned the victim’s family has now had two family members murdered in a little more than two weeks. 30 year-old John Fenner Thomas of Northeast DC was shot and killed on July 21, 2019. Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred on Monday, August 5, 2019, in the 5000 Block of Bass Place, Southeast. 

At approximately 9:46 pm, members of the Sixth District responded to the listed location for the report of an unconscious person. Upon arrival, members located an adult male victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. After all lifesaving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead.  

UPDATE: The decedent has been identified as 29 year-old Pierre Fenner, of Southeast, DC.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
