[PR] Arrest Made in Robbery and Burglary Offenses in the Fourth, Sixth, and Seventh Districts

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division have announced an arrest has been made in reference to Robbery offenses that occurred in the Fourth, Sixth, and Seventh Districts

Fourth District: 

  • Armed Robbery (Gun): On Sunday, May 10, 2020, at approximately 10:20 pm, two suspects exited a vehicle and approached the victim in the 4000 block of 17th Street, Northwest. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene in a vehicle. CCN: 20-070-344

Sixth District:

  • Burglary Two: On Monday, March 30, 2020, at approximately 1:35 am, the suspect gained entry to an establishment in the 2900 block of Minnesota Avenue, Southeast. Once inside, the suspect took property then fled the scene. CCN: 20-052-617

  • Armed Carjacking (Gun): On Saturday, April 11, 2020, at approximately 10:01 pm, the suspects approached the victim in the 5300 block of C Street, Southeast. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the keys to the victim’s vehicle. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene. CCN: 20-057-949

  • Burglary Two: On Friday, April 24, 2020, at approximately 12:35 am, the suspects gained entry to an establishment in the 4500 block of Benning Road, Southeast. Once inside, the suspects took property and then fled the scene. CCN: 20-062-794

Seventh District:

  • Armed Robbery (Gun): On Wednesday, April 8, 2020, at approximately 8:34 pm, the suspects approached the victim in the 3800 block of 9th Street, Southeast. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the keys to the victim’s vehicle. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. CCN: 20-056-642

  • Burglary Two: On Friday, May 8, 2020, at approximately 9:45 pm, the suspect forcibly entered the victim’s occupied residence in the 3000 block of 30th Street, Southeast. Once inside, the suspect took the keys to the victim’s vehicle and fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. CCN: 20-069-600

On Monday, May 11, 2020, a 15 year-old juvenile male, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with two counts of Armed Robbery (Gun), three counts of Burglary Two, and Armed Carjacking (Gun). 

These cases remain under investigation. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
