Oct 3 | Anacostia Crab Feast Brings Live GoGo, R+B and Steamed Crabs
Crabs, GoGo, R&B and a Sunday-market vibe are coming together for one big Saturday afternoon in Anacostia.
Neverlanding presents the Anacostia Crab Feast on Saturday, October 3, bringing bushels of steamed crabs, live music and local shopping to 1234 Marion Barry Avenue SE.
The festivities actually get started before the first crabs hit the table. The Soul Vibes Sunday Market opens at 11 a.m., giving visitors a chance to browse vendors and spend some time along the Marion Barry Avenue corridor before the Crab Feast begins at 2 p.m.
From 2 to 7 p.m., the focus turns to steamed crabs and live entertainment, with a lineup featuring some familiar sounds for GoGo fans. TCB, TOB and Perfection Band are among the scheduled performers, with additional entertainment also planned throughout the afternoon.
The event offers another reason to spend a Saturday in Anacostia while combining several things DC does especially well: good food, homegrown music, local vendors and community.
