Oct 18 | Community Park Care Day with Friends of Anacostia Park

Friends of Anacostia Park invites community members to help keep one of DC’s most treasured green spaces clean, vibrant, and welcoming for all. Volunteers are encouraged to join Grounds Lead Mr. Wayne at the Anacostia Park Skating Pavilion every third Saturday of the month, June through October, from 10 AM to 12 PM.

Each session focuses on hands-on projects that enhance the park’s beauty and health — from trash and invasive species removal to tree mulching, watering, and general landscape beautification. All supplies and materials are provided, and everyone is welcome to lend a hand.
