Nov 5 | Public hearing on DHCD's plans to build income restricted condos in Anacostia

The following is from the DC Department of Housing and Community Development.

A November 5 public hearing is quickly approaching that will explain plans to transform 2352, 2356, 2360 High Street SE in the Anacostia neighborhood of Ward 8 into affordable and market-rate condominiums. RSVP today.

The DC Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) is holding the hearing about the property, which was offered as part of a Solicitation for Offers (SFO) in May 2017. The hearing will ensure that citizens are informed about the sale and have the chance to publicly present their views.

The selected developer proposes a 52-unit condominium project with mostly family-sized units--20 one-bedrooms, 19 two-bedrooms, and 13 three-bedrooms. The building will be 60 percent affordable, at no more than $70,320 (60 percent of the Median Family Income [MFI]). The remaining units will be market rate. The developer is also planning a resident community garden.

Date and Time: Monday, November 5, 2018 at 6:00 p.m.
