National Capital Parks - East Seeks Volunteer Photographer

National Capital Parks - East is excited to announce a Volunteer Photographer opportunity for skilled photographers interested in capturing the beauty, history, and energy of local parks and events.

With camera in hand and eye through the viewfinder, volunteers will have the chance to get up close to nature and historic sites while helping to enrich a growing digital image library. Selected photographs may be featured across National Park Service websites and social media platforms, giving volunteers the opportunity to see their work shared with a broad public audience.

This role is best suited for experienced photographers who have their own camera equipment, an existing portfolio, and familiarity with photo editing and file organization software. Applicants should be prepared to submit examples of prior work as part of the application process.

Personal Property and Reimbursements

Volunteers are required to use their own cameras. National Capital Parks – East can provide tripods and SD cards if needed, though volunteers are welcome to use their own accessories. Please note that no reimbursements are authorized for damage, loss, or issues involving personal cameras or equipment while volunteering.
