March 28 | 23rd Annual DC/Maryland Black College Expo
Students and families in the DC region will have the opportunity to connect directly with colleges, scholarship providers, and education experts at the 23rd Annual DC/Maryland Black College Expo™, taking place Saturday, March 28 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC.
The expo brings together colleges from across the country—including many Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs)—to meet with prospective students. One of the event’s most exciting opportunities is the chance for students to receive on-the-spot acceptance from participating colleges. High school seniors and transfer students are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their transcripts to take advantage of this opportunity.
In addition to meeting with college representatives, attendees can participate in a series of educational seminars covering topics such as financial aid and scholarships, entrepreneurship, college preparation, and guidance for student athletes transitioning from high school to college.
The event is designed for a wide range of participants, including high school students, college transfer students, underclassmen planning ahead, adult learners, and families exploring educational opportunities together.
Organizers note that more than $5 million in scholarships are expected to be available through participating institutions and programs.
Due to the significant cost of hosting the event and the organization’s commitment to awarding scholarships to students, all ticket purchases are non-refundable.
