March 21 | Free Community Shred Day in Anacostia
Looking for a safe and easy way to get rid of old documents? This Saturday, March 21st, Priority 1 Shredding is hosting a free Community Shred Day in Anacostia from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at 1234 Marion Barry Avenue SE.
This community-focused event is designed to help residents and local businesses protect themselves from identity theft by securely shredding sensitive personal and business documents. Whether you’re clearing out old files at home or making space in your office, this is a simple and secure way to dispose of paperwork you no longer need.
The process is quick and convenient. Attendees can remain in their vehicles while trained staff collect and shred documents on-site.
How It Works:
If you are arriving from Good Hope Road or the 11th Street Bridge onto Marion Barry Avenue, turn right onto 14th Street (or left if coming from the opposite direction). Turn right on U Street, then right on 13th Street, passing DCity Smokehouse on your right. Cross over Marion Barry Avenue, and the large white shred truck will be located on the left at the field. From there, simply open your door or trunk and hand your items to the shred crew for immediate, secure shredding.
With identity theft on the rise, events like this offer a practical way to stay protected while taking care of some much-needed spring cleaning.
Mark your calendar and take advantage of this free community resource this Saturday.
