March 21 | Community Clean-Up at the Skate Pavilion

Looking for a simple way to give back to one of DC’s most treasured green spaces? Friends of Anacostia Park is inviting neighbors, families, and community members to roll up their sleeves and help keep Anacostia Park clean, green, and welcoming for all.

The upcoming volunteer event will take place at the Anacostia Park Skate Pavilion from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, offering a hands-on opportunity to make a visible impact in just a couple of hours. SIGN UP HERE.

Volunteers can expect a variety of activities depending on the day’s needs, including:

• Trash and debris removal

• Invasive plant species cleanup

• Mulching and watering trees

• General landscaping and beautification projects

No experience is necessary, and all supplies will be provided—just bring comfortable clothes, a good attitude, and a willingness to help.

These clean-up events are a great way to connect with neighbors, enjoy the outdoors, and contribute to the ongoing care of Anacostia Park, a vital community space along the river. Whether you’re a longtime volunteer or just looking for a meaningful way to spend your morning, everyone is welcome.
