March 15 | Deadline to apply for "Focused On My Future" Scholarship

The Washington Section of the National Council of Negro Women, Inc. (WSNCNW)  is now accepting applications for its 2024 "Focused On My Future" scholarship program!  This program year, two one-time scholarships of $2,000 each will be awarded to a graduating high school senior who meets the scholarship criteria.

The deadline for all applications is Friday, March 15, 2024.

The scholarship was created to support minority high school seniors seeking further educational opportunities. It aligns with NCNW's national focus on critical concerns known as "NCNW Priorities." This includes promoting education with a special focus on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math); encouraging entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and economic stability; educating women about good health and HIV/AIDS; and promoting civic engagement and advocating for sound public policy and social justice.

The scholarship application must be completed through Google Forms located here or accessed by the QR code on the attached flyer

Interested students who have questions or are unable to complete the online scholarship form may contact Education Committee Chair Januari Hester at the section's scholarship e-mail address: wsncnwscholarship@gmail.com.
