Lori Yarrish, Director of the Smithsonian's Anacostia Community Museum has passed

My heart is so heavy right now. I just saw the following posted on Facebook and I am still in shock. Lori was such a wonderful, charming and kind person who was so full of life and energy. My thoughts and prayers are with her friends, family and colleagues. - The Advoc8te

“Today [August 7] we mourn the passing of Lori Yarrish, Director of the Smithsonian’s Anacostia Community Museum. She was a wonderful administrator who loved her work, the staff and community. She was a Soror of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. She was so special in the lives of my family members. Please keep her family and the Anacostia Museum staff in your prayers.”
