Kamar Jackson, 18, Arrested for Southeast Robbery

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) announces an arrest in a robbery that occurred in Southeast.

On Sunday, June 7, 2026, at approximately 2:20 a.m., Seventh District officers responded to a report of a robbery in the 2700 block of Martin Luther King Jr Avenue, Southeast. The suspect approached the victim, demanding money. When the victim did not comply, the suspect threatened to stab the victim. The victim complied, and the suspect fled with the victim's property. MPD officers quickly arrived on the scene and were able to locate the suspect in the immediate area. The officers placed the suspect under arrest without incident.

18-year-old Kamar Jackson, of Southeast, D.C., was charged with Robbery (Fear).

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for a crime committed in the District of Columbia.
