June 13 | Community Meeting on Pennsylvania & Minnesota Improvements
After nearly two decades of planning and community discussion, construction is set to begin this month on the long-awaited redesign of the Pennsylvania Avenue and Minnesota Avenue SE intersection.
To help residents understand what to expect during the project, ANC 7B and ANC 8A are partnering with the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) to host a community meeting focused on construction activities, project timelines, and the improvements coming to this important Ward 7 and Ward 8 corridor.
The intersection redesign is intended to improve safety, enhance pedestrian accessibility, modernize infrastructure, and create a more welcoming public space for residents, businesses, and visitors. Construction is expected to continue over the next two years, making this meeting an important opportunity for community members to learn about upcoming impacts and ask questions directly of project officials.
