July 27 | HABA Community Meeting Highlights Major Projects

If you've been wondering what's happening around the neighborhood, this is a meeting you won't want to miss.

The Historic Anacostia Block Association (HABA) is inviting neighbors to its next virtual community meeting on Monday, July 27, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. The meeting will feature updates on several projects that will impact Historic Anacostia in the months ahead, along with the latest neighborhood news from the HABA Board.

Several organizations will be on hand to share what's coming next and answer questions from the community. Highlights include:

  • An update from The L'Enfant Trust on the "Big Green" Project and construction expected to begin later this summer.

  • A presentation from DDOT on finalized traffic circulation plans that will start rolling out throughout Historic Anacostia in August.

  • An update from DC Public Schools on plans for the former DC Prep building on V Street SE, which is expected to welcome Ketcham Elementary students this fall. Residents will also have an opportunity to share feedback.

Whether you've lived in Historic Anacostia for years, recently moved to the neighborhood, or own a local business, this meeting is a great opportunity to hear what's happening, ask questions, and stay connected with your community.

The meeting will be held on Zoom, and registration is required.
