July 21 | Chocolate City - Race & Democracy Book Discussion

In partnership with DC Vote and the Anacostia Coordinating Council, the Ward 8 Democrats would like to invite you to our next General Body Meeting this Saturday July 21, 2018. We will joined by Dr. Derek Musgrove who will discuss his new book, Chocolate City: Race & Democracy. 

Chocolate City tells of the tumultuous, four-century story of race and democracy in our nation’s capital. It highlights the city's rich history of local activism as Washingtonians of all races have struggled to make their voices heard in an undemocratic city where residents lack full political rights.
