The Anacostia Community Museum has revived its popular exhibition, Separate and Unequaled: Black Baseball in the District of Columbia, to celebrate this year’s All-Star Game at Nationals Park. Sponsored by ESPN’s The Undefeated, the exhibition chronicles and celebrates the history of African Americans in baseball in the nation’s capital during segregation. The exhibition uses historical photographs to narrate this very American story. First on display at the museum in 2008 Separate and Unequaled coincided with the opening of Nationals Park. The 10-year anniversary reopening includes three new murals and a selfie station.

Join us for a conversation with American sportswriter, Claire Smith moderated by Clinton Yates, former Washington Post Columnist now Tastemaster and Senior Blogger at The Undefeated.

A reception kicks off the program starting at Noon.
