Have Something to Say About Arts and Culture in DC? Public Comment Deadline Is September 24

The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities will hold its next Full Commission regular meeting on Monday, September 28, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Members of the public can also observe the meeting live online on their YouTube channel.  

Members of the public will have an opportunity to participate in the meeting and speak directly to Commissioners during the public comment period near the beginning of the meeting.

Those who sign up to provide live public comment may speak for up to three minutes. The public comment period is intended to give community members an opportunity to share information, experiences, knowledge and opinions for Commissioners to consider as part of their oversight of the Commission on the Arts and Humanities.

Anyone interested in speaking must submit a request by noon on Thursday, September 24.

Community members who do not wish to speak during the meeting can also submit written comments. The same noon September 24 deadline applies to written testimony, and individuals may submit written comments in addition to speaking during the meeting.

Signed, spoken and written public comments will become part of the meeting's public record.

The meeting will include real-time captioning through Zoom. Anyone who needs a reasonable accommodation related to access or inclusion may contact the Commission at CAHaccessibility@dc.gov.
