Feb 5 | DPW Special Waste Collection Event: Free Drop-Off for DC Residents
The DC Department of Public Works is hosting a free Special Waste Collection Event for DC residents on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at RFK Stadium, Parking Lot 8 (entrance off Independence Ave SE).

Residents can safely dispose of household hazardous waste, recycle electronics, shred sensitive documents, and drop off donatable goods.
Registration is required. Sign up for a 30-minute arrival window (arrive anytime within that window). Only one ticket per vehicle is needed. Materials will be accepted 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. If there’s a line, please join it—DPW will process vehicles as quickly as possible.
This event is open to DC residents only. Bring proof of residency and your Eventbrite registration. A DC resident must be present in each vehicle. No commercial waste will be accepted.
