Feb 28 | Afro House: Spirit Fest 2026

Afro House: Spirit Fest 2026 is coming to Anacostia just in time for Black History Month, inviting the community to reflect, recharge, and reimagine what wellness looks like—right now and for the future.

On February 28, 2026, from 1:00–5:00 PM, Anacostia Arts Center will host this vibrant afternoon festival in partnership with Grounded, The Go-Go Museum, and Busboys and Poets Anacostia. While the Arts Center’s building is under construction, the celebration will extend into partner spaces throughout the neighborhood.

Afro House: Spirit Fest centers spiritual wellness, mental health, and self-empowerment—asking important questions about how we care for ourselves in an often unforgiving world. The festival will feature live performances from local creatives, a creative marketplace, and additional experiences designed to nourish both spirit and community.

More details and program additions will be announced soon, but one thing is clear: Afro House: Spirit Fest 2026 promises an afternoon of connection, creativity, and collective care in the heart of Anacostia.
