Feb 11 | Free Community Floral Design Workshop

This February, the Anacostia Community Museum invites neighbors to gather for a hands-on floral design workshop as part of ACM Beyond the Exhibition: Growing Community, presented in partnership with Martha’s Table.

Taking place during Martha’s Table’s Healthy Happy Hour, this free community workshop brings together creativity, wellness, and connection. Participants are invited to enjoy healthy mocktails, nutritious snacks, music, and interactive activities while learning the basics of floral design. Guided instruction will introduce foundational concepts such as flower selection, balance, and arrangement, with each guest creating a seasonal floral piece to take home or share in celebration of Valentine’s Day.

The workshop will be held at Martha’s Table at The Commons on Wednesday, February 11, from 5:00 to 6:30 PM EST, and is open to all ages.

This program is part of ACM Beyond the Exhibition, an initiative designed to keep Anacostia Community Museum’s programming active while the museum undergoes exhibition installation from January through May 2026. Hosted at partner locations throughout Ward 8, the series centers history, wellness, and culture, offering opportunities for learning, creativity, and community connection beyond the museum’s walls.

While the gallery is temporarily closed, ACM continues to foster meaningful engagement and shared experiences across the community.

Registration is free and required.
