Expressions of Interest Now Open for CELAP Cohort 3

The Center for Nonprofit Advancement has officially opened Expressions of Interest for Cohort 3 of its Chief Executive Leaders Ascend Program (CELAP). Submissions will be accepted through Friday, February 27, 2026 at noon.

CELAP is a year-long leadership development initiative designed to support nonprofit executives leading organizations rooted in Wards 7 and 8 of the District of Columbia. The program focuses on strengthening leaders and the organizations they guide, with an emphasis on advancing community-driven solutions in historically under-resourced neighborhoods.

Through CELAP, participating executives receive:

  • Up to $25,000 in general operating support

  • Tailored capacity-building programming

  • Financial management guidance

  • Executive leadership development

  • Wellness-centered supports

  • Tools to strengthen both organizational and personal financial health

Cohort 3 will select 10 nonprofit leaders who are committed to deepening their impact, sustaining their leadership, and strengthening the communities they serve.

Eligible nonprofit executives serving Wards 7 or 8 are encouraged to submit an Expression of Interest before the deadline.
