Dec 8 - 12 | Temporary Lane Closures for Bridge Preventive Maintenance

The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes on the following roadways for bridge preventive maintenance construction activities during the period of Dec 8-12, 2025, weather permitting.

Operation hours and locations are listed below:

Benning Rd. over Kenilworth Ave (BR #503), temporary single lane closures on December 8, 2025, during the hours of 9:30 AM and 3:30 PM, weather permitting for bridge preventive maintenance work and bridge scupper cleaning.

Franklin St. NE over RR (BR 597), temporary single lane closures on December 9 thru 12, 2025 during the hours of 9:30 AM and 3:30 PM, weather permitting for bridge preventive maintenance work and bridge scupper cleaning.

Michigan Ave Bridge (BR 596), temporary single lane closures on December 10 thru 12, 2025 during the hours of 9:30 AM and 3:30 PM, weather permitting for bridge preventive maintenance work and bridge scupper cleaning.

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas.  Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures.  Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
