Dec 2 | SPEAK, a program for middle and high school students

12/02/2021, 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM
12/09/2021, 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM
12/16/2021, 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM

Middle and high school students interested in learning more about Humane Rescue Alliance’s work in the community are invited to participate in a virtual animal welfare exploration. Students demonstrating Passion, Engagement, Advocacy, & Kindness (SPEAK) encourage students to find ways to help the animals safely from home. During a series of three, hour-long online workshops, students will have an opportunity to chat with key HRA staff and others who support animals in our community. Students learn about HRA, the animals in our care, and explore ways to help the animals through projects that may include promoting adoptions through social media and creating fund-raising opportunities and awareness campaigns. SPEAK participants who complete the program become more confident animal advocates ready and able to speak up for animals and help them in myriad ways.

The cost for the 3-session SPEAK series is $25. However, no student will be denied access to participate because of the inability to pay.
