Camp Arena Stage Invites Young Artists to Explore Creativity This Summer
Young creatives across the DC area have an exciting opportunity to dive into the arts this summer through Camp Arena Stage, a dynamic, full-day multi-arts camp designed for students ages 8–15.
Hosted on the scenic campus of Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School, the camp offers a welcoming and inspiring environment where participants can explore a wide range of artistic disciplines under the guidance of professional artists and educators.
Campers are encouraged to design their own experience by choosing from an extensive selection of classes spanning theater, dance, music, visual arts, filmmaking, and writing. Past offerings have included everything from improvisation and a cappella to hip-hop dance, musical theater, painting, rock band, and stop-motion animation.
A highlight of the program is the daily Noontime Show, where campers have the opportunity to share their work in a supportive, peer-based setting. Those enrolled in the three-week session will also participate in an evening Arts Extravaganza, showcasing their creative achievements.
Importantly, Camp Arena Stage is designed to be inclusive of all types of artists. While performance opportunities are available, participation on stage is not required, ensuring that campers interested in behind-the-scenes or non-performance arts feel equally at home.
In addition to its summer programming, Arena Stage also offers a Spring Break Camp, scheduled for April 13–17, providing another opportunity for young artists to engage in hands-on creative exploration.
