August 30 | The Blackbyrds Take the Stage in Historic Anacostia

Jazz Hop Sound Sessions is coming to the Anacostia Arts & Culture District on Sunday, August 30, featuring a live performance by the legendary The Blackbyrds.

Blending the soul and improvisation of jazz with the rhythm and energy that helped influence generations of hip-hop artists, The Blackbyrds will take the stage at Big Jazz Cafe for an intimate evening of live music, community, and good vibes.

The event is also a great excuse to make an evening of it in Anacostia. Come early, grab a bite or drink from a neighborhood business, explore the corridor, and then settle in for the show.
