August 23 | Folding Fan Workshop at the Anacostia Museum

Experience an afternoon of art and creativity at the Smithsonian’s Anacostia Community Museum!

On Saturday, August 23, from 12–2 PM, artist Tamara Thomas will guide participants through a hands-on workshop in designing and crafting their very own hand-held folding fans. Using lace, fabric, sequins, gems, and other provided materials, you’ll create a functional and beautifully decorated fan to take home.
