Aug 21 | Bellevue Library Celebrates America 250 with a Kids Scavenger Hunt
Young explorers can test their observation skills during the America 250 Scavenger Hunt at the Bellevue (William O. Lockridge) Neighborhood Library on Friday, August 21.
Held throughout the day during regular library hours, the free, self-guided activity invites children to search the Children's Room for hidden images representing iconic American landmarks and U.S. history.
Participants can pick up a scavenger hunt sheet and explore the Children's Room at their own pace, looking for America-themed pictures hidden throughout the space. Along the way, kids can learn a few history facts while discovering the library in a new way.
Those who successfully find all of the hidden pictures can bring their completed sheet to the library desk to receive a small prize.
The activity is part of the celebration of America's 250th anniversary and is designed for children from birth through age 12.
