April 26 | Hill Center Family Day

Hill Center at the Old Naval Hospital is bringing its beloved Family Day tradition to spring this year, offering a full afternoon of free, family-friendly fun for the community on April 26.

Typically held in the fall, the event has been moved up to give families a chance to explore summer programming options while enjoying a more comfortable, cooler day outdoors. From 2 PM to 6 PM, guests can take part in a wide variety of activities designed to entertain kids and adults alike—from face painting and balloon art to interactive experiences like meeting alpacas, cuddling bunnies, and enjoying hands-on play.

A highlight of the day includes a performance by crowd-favorite Turley the Magician at 2:30 PM, followed by a live concert from King Bullfrog at 4:30 PM. Throughout the afternoon, local summer camp providers will host demonstrations, giving families a preview of seasonal programs ranging from science exploration and soccer to dance, music, outdoor education, and even chess.

With food vendors serving up classics like pizza and popcorn, the event offers a relaxed, festival-style atmosphere perfect for a spring outing. While admission is free, donations are encouraged to support future programming.
