Looking for a fun, family-friendly way to spend DCPS spring break? NatureFest is back this April, offering a full week of outdoor exploration, hands-on learning, and memory-making for kids and caregivers alike.
Designed for youth ages 5–12, NatureFest creates a safe, welcoming space where families can unplug, get outside, and connect with nature right here in DC. Each day brings a new mix of engaging activities—from scenic boat rides on the river and interactive scavenger hunts to arts & crafts, skating, and even up-close encounters with live animals.
Whether you’re a parent, part of a youth day camp, or coordinating a recreation center group, NatureFest makes it easy to plan a day (or several) filled with fresh air and fun. Just be sure that all youth attendees are accompanied by a chaperone throughout the event.
