Get to know Petal Share, a Ward 8 nonprofit.

Petal Share's mottos are "Share Your Petals..Share Your Joy"™ and "Spreading joy, one petal at a time."™ Our intention is to convey a sense of collective responsibility for the well-being of individuals in our communities. When we share with and support others, we uplift us all. Petal Share is a charitable organization focused on fostering social philanthropy, community service and collective responsibility as a way of providing comfort and joy to the most fragile among us. The tool we use to provide this comfort is flowers. With love, compassion and lots of hard work, we've shared thousands of flowers with individuals in nursing homes, hospitals and shelters (battered women's and homeless youth and veteran). Through our efforts we forge a circle of service which begins with generous donors such as event planners, florists, newly married couples and brides-to-be in the greater DC area.

If you are interested in learning more about the Petal Share service process and to discuss your wedding, please contact us at PetalShare@gmail.com. For more information on the Petal Share movement and testimonials on our work, check us out on FaceBook!

To share recycled flowers with individuals in nursing homes, shelters and hospitals, with a special emphasis on Ward 8 DC facilities. We pickup, rearrange and deliver flowers donated by hosts and planners of special events, including weddings and receptions. These flowers are shared with individuals in need of comfort and joy.
