IT'S OFFICIAL - I belong!!!

Today I completed the final task on my journey to becoming a full District of Columbia Resident .

Today I got my voter registration card.

Today I was accepted into the highest level of civic service- the registered voter.

I... am... a... REGISTERED... DC...VOTER!

My passport to civic service may be only 2 inches wide and 2 inches long but it's value is vast. This little collection of wood fibers and colored ink grant me the privilege of having a voice in MY community and in MY country.


I have the ability to make a difference...to usher in change.

And that is pretty cool.
Congratulations to all those other newly registered voters out there - WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Every vote DOES count!!
