   THE MEDITATION CENTER   Helps to prevent and eliminate the epidemic of truama and toxic stress among at-risk populations through Transcendental Meditation (TM). The Meditation Center @ THEARC (Town Hall Education Arts Recreation Campus) was established to serve youth (ages 10+), adults and seniors, providing Transcendental Meditation education to the redidents of Wards 7 & 8, as well as those served through THEARC non-profit partners.

The system consists of six distinct routes across Washington, DC, and even into Rosslyn, VA, and provides close to five million trips a year. With a fleet of 67 buses, the Circulator services each of its 136 stops every 10 minutes, providing simple, fast and affordable transit to residents, commuters and visitors around the nation’s capital.

Includes a 1,000 square feet Black Box Theater; space for five galleries/boutiques; a short term exhibition gallery called Blank Space SE, a café, and an 800 square feet lounge area. Learn about the building’s history. While The Arts Center is new, its parent organization,  ARCH Development Corporation , has been working in Anacostia since 1991.
