It is with great pleasure that the Alliance of Concerned Men and Message in the Music, Training Grounds, along with other community partners, invite you and your organization to participate in this year’s Neighborhood Anti-K2 and Anti-Violence Workshops and Community Unity Love Rally to be held at the Alliance of Concerned Men Office, 3227 Dubois Place, S.E., Washington, DC 20019. This event will include: Community Video Recording, Anti-K2 & Anti-Violence workshops and the Community Unity Rally. The October 6th event has been cancelled.

The Anti-K2 and Anti-Violence workshops are sponsored by the DC Ward 7 & 8 Prevention Center to increase community awareness regarding the Anti-K2/Synthetic Drugs, Anti-Violence and Anti-Under Age Drinking Campaign".

The goal of the Anti-Violence workshops is to spark a neighborhood campaign against violence and gun-violence. The Guns for Opportunity & Peace initiative is an initiative to decrease the illegal possession and use of Guns within our communities. A petition will be available for all those who possess guns illegally and are interested in turning in Gus for Opportunities and Peace.

There will be an artist showcase where we will utilize the cultural arts community (poetry, gospel, positive hip-hop, comedy and spoken word) to channel creative talent of the community around the dangers of K2, Anti-violence and Love in the community. We also encourage your participation and financial support for the recording of a Community Music Video to help inject hope and inspiration into the heart of the community.

The other festivities will include free food, Face Painting, Moon Bounce, Cartoon Characters, Live Music, Live Bands, prizes and more…Your financial support and help is very much appreciated by us and the community we serve.
