The Advoc8te has returned from 11 lovely days in sunny Guadeloupe with some of my Anacostia peeps! I had a blast, even if I had way too many unexpected encounters with the local wildlife (rat in couch, crab in car)! I highly recommend spending Thanksgiving on a french island -- instead of turkey I had lobster and my tan is to die for. My french on the other hand is in desperate need of a tune up. I can't tell you how many times I thought I was ordering beer and really was saying "butter" in french! Lol!
That said, it is great to be back and I am rejuvenated and excited to spread the good word about all things east of the river. Until then, see below for some pictures from my adventures. Before you ask, I flew on Norwegian Air and my roundtrip flight tickets from BWI were $220 (I bought them in March). Up next, I will heading to Martinique to spend the new year -- and celebrate my 40th birthday!!!! -- in the sun and sand. Stay tuned.
