Covenant House Opens Doors to Community for 20thAnniversary Celebration!
Covenant House Washington (CHW) is celebrating 20 years of transforming the lives of homeless and disconnected youth across the Greater Washington Region. As part of its 20th Anniversary Celebration, CHW will open its doors to the entire community for a 20th Anniversary Open House on Thursday, May 14th, at 10:30am at the CHW Community Service Center located at THEARC: 2001 Mississippi Ave SE, Washington, DC 20020.
Come hear from youth whose lives have been changed by Covenant House Washington and tour the CHW Community Service Center. CHW has served more than 35,000 young people since first opening its doors in 1995. It is the largest nonprofit provider serving homeless and disconnected youth within the national capital region through a variety of different services which include a 36 bed immediate housing center, transitional housing programs, street outreach, workforce development training and job placement, education classes, prevention services program for middle and high school students, and a nationally accredited Child Development Center.
